I'm really excited about vacation because I'm a little burnt out right now, so I'm definitely up for some down time. I will bw most definitely be sleeping in on vaction, just a warning to you all because I haven't felt like I slept int he last 3 months.
School's almost over.

I htink mommy would really appreciate the massage Debs. That's a good idea. SHe still talks about the last one. Hey can you send me the floor plans and elevations of your new house. I know you have the floor plans on the blog, but elevations? Thanks Debs. ALso are you gonna have a tree?
SInce I'm gonna be poor for a little bit...once again you guys will all be getting hand made presents again...hopefully ones that will not fall apart. Luck be on your side! Sorry guys probably nothing on your lists unless I get a little desperate.

Things from SF I left and need...

Can you guys be sure to bring these items with you for me:

1) Palm Pilot charger--I think I left it in SF. Last time I remember, I had it in the hospital. It's black, the plug-in side is square and bulky and the part that connects to the device is really small. Has anyone seen it?

2) My hardback copy of The Count of Monte Cristo.

3) The Roger & Hammerstein set that Em got me a couple of Christmases ago

4) Anything else I forgot....?

what it was I said that made him decide to go.... I told him to think about it, that he could bring a friend if he wanted since there is plenty of room. It could have been that too, because when I said that, he paused and asked why. And I told him that it would be nice to have the whole family together for Christmas and that i wanted him to have a good time. Maybe he was worried that I was going to make him work the whole time and when I said he could bring a friend, he realized that I didn't expect him to work? I don't know...whatever...I'm just glad he's coming. We can grill him when he's here. =)

No worries about the painting. Take your time. Someday, I would like at least one work of art from you.

I don't know what to get mommy. Your gifts sound very nice. May be I'll get her a massage when she's here in Seattle. So viv and Serina have a list. Your list, em, is very generic--could you be more specific? I don't really have a list and I don't think you guys need to get me anything. The trip up here and your guys help will be my present. You guys can get me a box of my favorite chocolates or cookies if you want. Though that is really not appetizing to me right now as I am slowly getting over a cold/sore throat. Ooohhh...I like nice soaps too--French-milled or handmade.

BTW, bring your SLIPPERS! With the new floors and carpet, everyone will have to take off their shoes before coming in. If you don't want to bring slippers or don't have any, I can buy everyone some and you can leave them here for when you visit. There's always good sales on slippers this time of year. =) Just let me know.

Any ideas on what Owen wants? Video games seem redundant and boring now. What's in for boy teenagers right now?

What kind of art does Richard Prince do? It sounds like you and James are getting along well. Do you like how things are with him? Do you like work? I've been working late as well, but I still enjoy it so it's not too bad.

I thought I was going to have to force Owen to go. I don't know why that kid doesn't listen to me. I told him the dates too. Jeez. What exactly did you say to him? I'm curious. Was it really the New Year's thing?

I'm excited to see your new house. I did not get you a wedding gift - I said I was going to paint a painting but then I got painter's block. I'll see what i can do this time around.

Have you talked to Mommy? Is she excited to go? I got her a robe and a matching PJ set from my company. 100% Pima cotton, which is supposed to help you sleep more comfortable.

Nothing going on here. James and I are going to see the Richard Prince exhibit at the Guggenheim tonight. I'm just about to head out of work now. I've been staying here way too late for the past couple of weeks.

Hi y'all! No, I do not have a list yet. But I can make one up =) It will mostly be house things. Em, you can always paint me a picture for my walls. This might be rude but did you get me a wedding gift, because I never received it. Not that you needed to get me one, but just worried that you did and it's lost.

I think Owen has changed his mind. I spoke with him on Tuesday night and he said then he would go. I told him he could invite one of his friends to go with him. And I told him the dates you guys were coming. I think that might have done it because I think he might want to be back in time to spend New Year's with his friends. BTW, anyone who wants to stay longer is welcome. You'll just have to book a one way or even a round trip if you know the date of your next visit. I know Em has to get back, but if Serina and Viv have more vacation and would like to prolong the visit, you're most welcome. James is very excited that you guys are coming. But he did think it was too bad that the visit is so short.

As for Christmas, Owen seems dead set on staying at home for Christmas to "hang out with his friends." Even though I've told him that his friends will be with their families during Christmas.

I had a list from last year but I don't remember anything on it. Books, handmade stuff, photos, and gadgets are good. I'll have more later, I'm sure.

I haven't kept in touch for awhile. How is everything? I've been busy. I was wondering what day we're driving up to seattle. Owen still refuses so i think that's gonna be your forte em, because you can usually get him to go.
Thanksgiving was ok, Serina came down and we still have turkey. It sounds like you guys had a hell of a thanksgiving and you're probably all stuffed.

Alright down to the good stuff:

external hard drive
prismacolor pencils (I know...who asks for color pencils...but they're the best!)
Dremmel (helpful for school, although surprising not on the top of my list)
Books (all sorts, not picky, surprise me)

I decided that I'm not going to send you things. I'm just going to bring it when I get down there and hope you don't already have it.

Hey all

Happy Thanksgiving! I bought my ticket to fly back home and Serina booked the rental car. We are all set! I'll forward my flight schedule to all. Tai drove down from Virginia to spend Thanksgiving in New York. She, James and I went over to our friend Dan and Jason's apartment for dinner. It was awesome. There was more food there than even I could eat. And there were two tables of dessert. We made chocolate fudge cake and pecan pie. It was good.

How did you guys spend yours?

James and I are going to Jackie's place for Thanksgiving. It will be her and her husband, her mom and dad, and James and I. We are bringing the turkey. We bought a Butterball and James was going to cook it. Then a couple days ago, when James and I were eating at a Hawaiian restaurant, James saw an ad to have your turkey roasted by this sort-of famous chinese BBQ place in the I-district. I say sort of famous b/c that the last couple of events we went to had roast pork from this place. It was so good! And I was so happy to find a great chinese BBQ place here in Seattle.

Em, what are you doing for Thanksgiving?
