October Update - We're back!

 Kind of.  

Viv's update from last month:  

Serge and I went to Hawaii, Kauai to be exact. 

We kayaked, hiked, and got sick on a tiny plane (I threw up in my mouth twice).

I got my fresh coconut juice straight from the coconut and surprisingly ate a lot of fried food. I discovered I like roosters and barred doves. Serge discovered Chinese BBQ pork which is a plus for me, since now I can bring him to one more asian place. (Big step!)

Also doing pottery again, you can check it out on Instagram. For every 5 pots, there is one that is good. 

Serina's update:

Roni and I had a blast dressing up for Halloween with P-Chan this year.  We went for a Roman/Egyptian theme - Cleopatra, Egyptian guard, and Little Caesar, haha.  

We also enjoyed good weather, explored a bit of East Bay, and got the garage painted.  

US Presidents

Me: Test me, I've been studying the US presidents.
VI:  how come?
Me:  for my students.  Go, just the first seven though.
VI:  I know who the 51st is.
Me:  Really?  I don't think anyone knows that yet.  lol

The next day (relaying the above convo to mom with VI in the car)
Mom:  Aren't we are on the 52nd?
VI:  lol!
Me: who are you people?

Me:  Tell me who the 16th president is.
VI:  Roosevelt?
Me: Abe Lincoln
Mom:  I could have told you that.  You spoke too fast.
Me:  Really?
Mom:  Of course, we had to study for this in the US.
Me:  my bad

Today's hot topic: Big fly

Mom:  That big fly is super annoying.
Me:  I know, it keeps buzzing around my head. 
Mom:  There must be a hole in the window somewhere.
Me:  I think there are three of them. (flies)
Mom:  THREE of them? 
Me:  I saw a small one.  Maybe just two then.  I opened the window a bit so they can fly out.
Mom:  You're probably letting more in.  (walking downstairs)
Me:  (lol)

Owen: (coming out of his room)  What's with the big fly in the house?

i'm the first to post something in the year 2011 and it's freaking almost over!!
